While going for a vacation, it is always advisable to pack light. However, when you go for a winter vacation it is always likely that you might have to carry some extra warm clothes to keep yourself warm and safe from the extreme weather. The challenge is that you cannot carry lot of luggage, but need to accommodate everything in a single bag as per the specifications of the airlines you are to travel.

Especially during winters, one needs to be very tricky while packing and it is always a sensible idea to bring with you versatile items that preferably can be used for multiple purposes.

Here is a list of essential items that you need to carry along with you, while going for a winter vacation.

lipstickVaseline and Lipstick: During winters your skin and lips need special care. Therefore always carry Vaseline and a lipstick of natural shade. For winter, your face, hands, lips all needs moisture. If you are traveling for a few days only you can use a small Vaseline jar. Apply Vaseline on your lips to prevent chapping and can use it as body lotion or hands and legs moisturizer too. You can even use Vaseline on the face to keep off your skin from drying.

Thermal Inner wear: You also need to be very careful about keeping yourself warm. That is why it is essential to keep thermal clothes to keep yourself warm which you can wear inside your shirt. This will help you to lock the body heat. Carry at least two pairs and wash them between each wear. Or if you have no time for laundry, then bring a set for each day of your trip.

Your Jeans: Carry jeans made of wool or a thick, warm material. If you intend to engage in winter sports, get the necessary pants for your sport.
